Director, Women's Health
Background
Marilyn Johnson was appointed the MSDH Director of Women's Health in July 2021, overseeing programs such as Family Planning, Breast and Cervical Cancer, Healthy Moms and Healthy Babies, and Maternal and Child/Infant Health. Since joining the agency in 2008, Marilyn has served in several leadership roles, including Director of Quality Improvement and State Title V/Maternal and Child Health Director.
She holds a Master's of Business Administration degree, and is a board member of numerous professional organizations, including the National Family Planning and Reproductive Health Association and the Association of Maternal and Child Health Programs (AMCHP). She was named a 2021 Emerging MCH Professional by the AMCHP.
