The State Systems Development Initiative (SSDI) program provides support for data sharing between Department of Health programs and between MSDH and other agencies.
The SSDI program assists Maternal and Child Health programs in linking their data with one another, other MSDH offices such as Vital Records, and outside agencies such as Medicaid.
The data are linked for research purposes to find innovative ways to address and improve health care issues in the State of Mississippi. The
SSDI program also works with the MCH programs to help them ensure their data are in the best condition prior to analysis to obtain accurate results.
The SSDI improves the accuracy and effectiveness of program information through:
- Data linkage
- Data cleaning/maintenance
- Data analysis
- Technical support
