The Mississippi State Public Health Laboratory is a bureau within the Mississippi State Department of Health. The Laboratory has been in existence since 1910 and in its present location since 1959. The laboratory is staffed with 90 employees and processes more than 600,000 clinical and environmental specimens each year.
The new state Public Health Laboratory building is under construction.
