College immunization requirements are established by the Mississippi Institute of Higher Learning. Some colleges and junior colleges in the state have chosen to implement a measles-rubella immunity standard for college admission. Students should check with the college for required immunizations.

MSDH recommends two doses of measles-containing vaccine (usually administered as MMR vaccine) for all first-time entrants to member institutions of the Mississippi university system.
